Unconscious Bias

Unconscious biases are our implicit people preferences, formed by our socialisation, our experiences, and our exposure to others' views about other groups of people, for example in the media. Our experiences act as social filters which we use to make judgements and assessments of those around us. We are hard-wired to place people into different categories.
